Jean-Claude BOSSEZ - Afilog

Our contribution to the Grenelle de l’Environnement

The day before his morning session on logistic law – for which Business Immo is the press partner -, Afilog brought us up to date on its participation in Grenelle de l’Environnement round table process and its current internal news. Jean-Claude Bossez answers the questions of Business Immo Logistique.

Business Immo: Describe the event that you are organizing on 27 June…

Jean-Claude Bossez: The “Matinale du Droit Logistique” (morning on logistic law) that will take place on Friday 27 June brings together our French and Italian partners – respectively Cabinet Huglo-Lepage et Associés and Cabinet Macchi di Cellere Gangemi – for an update on regulatory news that will have an effect on logistic activities.
Afilog has the role – among others – of monitoring regulations, and, if possible, being involved in the very early stages of reform proposals so as to contribute its member’s expertise and represent them better. All logistic players can subscribe at www.afilog.eu to be able to benefit from this indispensable support, kept up to date by our partners.

BI: How is the profession that you represent preparing for the Grenelle de l’Environnement?

JCB: With the Afilog charter, the players, whether property players or operators, mobilized their team for the sustainable development process, very early, without waiting for future regulations. This has allowed Afilog to make well prepared proposals at the Grenelle, which were consistent with the charter.

BI: Where is the HQE reference project? And what is the schedule?

JCB: The first NF Tertiary Buildings – HQE initiative “sustainable logistic centres” reference is currently undergoing tests: the 19 pilot operations are in the hands of the Certivea auditors, with the application of 16 targets (14 HQE + 2 specifically logistic) and the OMS (Operation Management System). Audits will succeed each other throughout the summer until September. In October, we should have version 1, which will be enriched by the lessons from the pilot operations and which could be used by everyone who wants their operation certified.
In parallel, we are setting up an “operations” group to create the dedicated reference, to allow everyone to aim for it, including those whose logistic centre is not certified.

BI: What are your short term projects?

JCB: We are setting up two new commissions: One will be dedicated to parcels activities, and the other is a meeting point for the logistic professions, to provide for the major recruitment that will take place in the next few years, to detect talented people and help them to discover and share our enthusiasm for our professions.
