The SNCF takeover offer for its Geodis goods transport and logistic subsidiary is a success. The SNCF will now own over 95 % of the capital and voting rights of Geodis. This operation values the company at nearly 1.1 billion €.
With nearly 8 billion € turnover, the new group combining Geodis, SNCF freight and the SNCF Participations freight subsidiary has the ambition of winning the title of “French freight and logistics champion”. Currently it occupies the 4th place in European transport and logistics.
