ProLogis is developing a build-to-suit building in Rochelle, Illinois for Bay Valley Foods, one of the leading producers of shelf stable foods in the United States. This platform will allow the company to warehouse its product line for its distribution network. Work will begin this summer. Located about 120 km west of Chicago, the Rochelle ProLogis park covers more than 300 acres in a thriving industrial zone. Bay Valley Foods will move its offices into the second building in this park, which will eventually be comprised of ten platforms for a total area of 371,600 sq. m. The new building will be designed according to regulations established by the United States Green Building Council and certified LEED, the national standard for environmentally-friendly construction.
